Tubular Pusher Blade

Box Sectional Pusher Blade
Grain Pushers – Comparing Round to Box Section
Grain Pushers or Pusher blades are used in a wide variety of applications from grain stores to recycling / waste handling sites. The key specification characteristics are Reach ( how long from the blade to the fitting attachment) and width (the width of the pusher blade). They are designed for use with Loaders, Shovel loaders and Telehandlers, with option for direct mount or quick hitch mounting as required.
Depending on the type of material to be moved, density of the material and surface that the substance is being moved on will impact on the size of pusher blade that can be specified.
Pusher blade design options
- Rubber or Plastic wear strips for floor protection. BAC offer a service to a number of grain pusher customers where the wear strip is replaced once it reaches its minimum viable limit. If on use you find that your pusher blade (and floor surface) would benefit from a wear strip these can be retro fitted
- Blade widths can be designed and manufactured to your exact requirement. We have manufactured blade widths from 1.5m to 2.5m.
- Pusher Blade height can be from 0.5m to over 1m with the option for a guard (trash guard) if required. The higher the blade the larger the pushing capacity which is often important in grain stores.
- Trash guard – Available as fixed or removable, the debris guard fits to the top of the pusher blade. Typically they are a frame that is a generally inverted U-shape with outward facing side legs. They can be fitted with a strong mesh screen or steel bars – depending on the application
- Edges – these can be welded or bolted. There are pros and cons to both the design team at BAC will discuss your application and usage and identify which would be most suitable
- Colour and branding – Pusher Blades can be sprayed to any colour you need. Whether its a highly visible bright colour ( perfect where you need your pusher blade to be seen ) or your standard corporate / brand colour.
The Benefit of Tubular Pusher Blades
- Round tube design minimises the opportunity for grain (or other small particles) to get stuck on the pusher frame, so more grain stays in the grain store as opposed to being dumped around the yard.
- With less nooks and crannies they are easier to keep clean
