Complete Refurbishment of Clam Bucket
A complete ground-up refurbishment of a BAC clam bucket to extend service life, improve safety, and modernise mounting and hydraulics. Scope included full strip-down, structural inspection after shot-blasting, conversion to quick-hitch mounting, hydraulic overhaul (including hose protection and re-sealed rams), and a durable 2K paint finish in any RAL colour.

Complete Bucket Strip Down
All removable parts were dismantled to allow thorough access, cleaning, and inspection. This also accelerates reassembly and helps guarantee tolerances.
Shot-Blasting & Structural Check
Steelwork was shot-blasted back to bare metal. With the coatings removed, we performed structural checks to verify integrity before proceeding.
Quick-Hitch Conversion
The bucket was converted to a quick-hitch mount to improve swap-over speed and fleet compatibility
Hydraulics Overhaul
New hydraulic lines with protective sleeving were installed, cylinders (rams) were re-sealed, and stainless-steel fittings were used where required. Flow restrictors were fitted to smooth operation and protect components. Protective bellows were added to rams.
Protective Finish
A hard-wearing 2K paint system was applied in the client’s chosen RAL colour, delivering corrosion protection and a clean, professional appearance.
