Hi Tip Bucket Applications

Hi tip buckets are a type of versatile loading shovel attachments. The attachments are suitable for use in a range of agricultural applications, including grain loading.

Because of the extra height that the tip buckets permit they are ideal for loading into high sided vehicles, such as walking floor trailers and hoppers. This can significantly help to increase grain loading time and improve the efficiency and productivity of a company.

Design

We own a purpose built facility in Suffolk; all of the manufacture of our products take place here. We employ the use of cutting edge design software and manufacturing technologies, including CAD, CNC press brakes, guillotines and plasma cutters.

We offer hi tip buckets that are tailored to the exact requirements of a customer and use premium quality materials to ensure that the product is able to excel in even of the most rigorous of environments.

  • The loading attachment is available with 1cm³ to 14cm³ capacity.
  • A twin ram system, clear floor and quick hitch or direct mount fitment, as well as a trash guard and spill guard.
  • Hydraulic cross line relief valves to protect the hydraulic system on the products.
  • A bolt on reversible wear edge provides a longer life and is easy to replace.
  • Bolt on heel plates protect elements of the product that are exposed to mechanical abrasion and are also easy to replace.
  • Closing dampeners on the bucket frame reduce noise during use.
  • The product comes with all hoses and fittings.

Is it worthwhile getting a loader high tip bucket custom made to an exact size?

The decision to get a custom-made high tip bucket for a loader depends on several factors. Here are some things to consider:

  1. Purpose: What is the intended use of the high tip bucket? If the loader is used for specific tasks that require a particular size of the bucket, then it might be worthwhile to get a custom-made bucket to fit those needs precisely.
  2. Efficiency: A custom-made high tip bucket that is the perfect size can increase efficiency and productivity, especially in tasks where precision is crucial. It can help reduce material waste and speed up loading times, which can ultimately save time and money.
  3. Cost: Custom-made equipment can be expensive, so it’s essential to weigh the costs of a custom-made bucket against the benefits it will provide. If the cost is too high, it might be more economical to go with a standard size bucket.
  4. Availability: Depending on the specific loader and size requirements, a custom-made bucket may not be available for purchase off-the-shelf. In that case, a custom-made bucket may be the only option available.

In conclusion, if the intended use of the high tip bucket requires a particular size, and the benefits of a custom-made bucket outweigh the costs, then it might be worthwhile to get one.

Bulk Density Finder

Why Bulk Density Matters

The bulk density of the material you’re handling has a direct impact on the performance, safety and efficiency of your loading shovel attachment. Knowing the correct bulk density helps you select the right bucket capacity, avoid overloading, maximise payloads and reduce unnecessary wear on your machine. Use our Bulk Density Finder to estimate the weight of your material before choosing your attachment.

Type in your material, choose from the options and find out the bulk density of the materials you are looking to move.

    (Tailoring) Hi Tip Bucket FAQs
    1. How do you determine the correct high tip bucket specification for my application?

    Key Technical Considerations

    • Material density (kg/m³)
    • Required bucket capacity (m³)
    • Material flow characteristics
    • Loading cycle frequency
    • Required discharge height
    • Desired productivity (tonnes per hour)

    Why does it matter?

Every material behaves differently, and an incorrectly specified bucket can reduce productivity, increase fuel consumption and shorten machine life.

A bucket designed for woodchip will perform very differently from one designed for aggregates or waste.

Ensures the bucket is engineered to maximise productivity for your specific application.

    2. Will the high tip bucket maintain my machine’s rated lifting capacity and stability?

    Key Technical Considerations

    • Machine make and model
    • Rated operating capacity
    • Hydraulic lifting capacity
    • Front axle loading
    • Centre of gravity when tipped
    • Compatibility with OEM operating specifications

    Why does it matter?

Increasing bucket capacity without considering machine limitations can reduce safe working loads and affect machine stability.

Correct engineering ensures maximum productivity without compromising operator safety.

Maintains safe operation whilst delivering optimum machine performance.

    3. What hydraulic system is required to achieve fast, smooth and reliable tipping?

    Key Technical Considerations

    • Hydraulic oil flow (L/min)
    • Working pressure (bar)
    • Cylinder sizing
    • Hose routing
    • Cross-relief valve protection
    • Full tip angle and return speed

    Why does it matter?

The tipping cycle directly affects loading efficiency.

Incorrect hydraulic specifications can result in slow tipping speeds, incomplete discharge or excessive wear.

Correct hydraulic matching delivers faster, smoother and more reliable loading cycles.

    4. Which wear protection and structural reinforcement options are best suited to my working environment?

    Key Technical Considerations

    • Wear edge material and thickness
    • Heel plates
    • Side wear strips
    • Floor reinforcement
    • High-strength steel construction
    • Replaceable wear components

    Why does it matter?

High-wear areas vary depending on the material being handled.

Selecting the correct reinforcement significantly extends service life whilst lowering maintenance costs.

Improves durability and reduces lifetime ownership costs.

    5. Can the bucket be customised to maximise productivity for my specific operation?

    Key Technical Considerations

    • Bespoke bucket widths and capacities
    • Machine-specific mounting brackets
    • OEM quick hitch compatibility
    • Optional bolt-on cutting edges
    • Spill guards and visibility improvements
    • Paint finish and corporate branding
    • Attachment compatibility with the existing fleet

    Why does it matter?

A bespoke bucket often delivers greater efficiency than an off-the-shelf model by matching the customer’s exact operational requirements.

Customisation can improve loading speed, reduce material loss and increase operator confidence.

Provides a solution engineered specifically for your operation, maximising productivity and long-term performance.
